Crowns & Bridgework

Dental crowns and bridges are used to fill in the spaces between one or more missing teeth. Crowns are placed over damaged or decaying teeth to maintain the strength and size of the tooth. If the tooth has been removed, we may give you a dental implant that we then place a crown over the implant.

Bridges function to close the gap left by multiple missing teeth and are made to appear and function like natural teeth.

Fillings

Cavities are one of the most common causes of tooth pain and are treated by filling the holes left by cavities and tooth decay. Fillings come in a variety of mediums, the most common being composite, which are similar in color to your teeth, and amalgam, which appears silver. Your dentist will locate any cavities, remove any decaying hard tissue, and fill the cavity to prevent the decay from spreading.

Oral Cancer Screenings

Oral cancer screenings are meant to detect cancerous or precancerous cells and lesions in your mouth. Your dentist will perform an exam during your routine visit but may suggest additional tests if you have a family history of oral cancer, use tobacco in any form, or meet other risk factors.

Periodontal (Gum) Disease Therapy

Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy mouth and Gum disease should be taken seriously and treated as soon as possible.

Gum disease appears in many forms and at different levels of severity. Gingivitis, the earliest stage of gum disease, is relatively easy to treat. A professional cleaning and proper home care will usually clear it up. If your gum disease is more severe, we offer scaling and planing or periodontal surgery as potential treatment options.

Root Canals

Root canals are arguably one of the more famous dental services, but they often get a bad rep. Root canals are, simply put, a treatment that cleans the canals inside the root of a tooth in an effort to preserve it instead of removing the tooth altogether. Thanks to anesthesia, root canals are virtually painless.

Sealants

Sealants are a thin coating applied to a patient’s back teeth and are used to protect your molars from cavities and damage for many years.

Tooth Extractions

If damage to a tooth is too severe to repair, or the tooth is crowding, extraction may be necessary. This is a very common outpatient procedure done under general anesthesia, so you won’t feel a thing.

TMJ/TMD Treatment

If your TMJ/TMD is bite-related, there are several possible treatment options. Your dentist may use bridges, crowns, or braces to correct your bite and relieve pain.
